Microsoft Teams also features a Files section which you can use to share files between other members of your organisation. This feature is only useful for sharing smaller, administrative files and documents such as those from Office applications, as well as .PDF’s and photos.
To share files with an individual user, open the chat tab, then click the paper clip icon at the bottom of the chat window.
To view all shared files with that user, click the drop-down menu next to the user’s name, then click ‘Files’.
To view and upload files for a channel within your organisation, go to the Teams section, then select the channel and click the files tab.
You can click the new tab and select an app to create and share a new document from that application within Teams.
To view all files in Microsoft Teams as well as recent files and downloads, the click ‘Files’ tab in the side bar.
If you organisation uses cloud storage such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive, you can
Select ‘Add cloud storage’ in the bottom left of the files window to add it to Teams. You can then view and upload files within that Cloud storage by clicking the appropriate tab within the files section. This feature can be useful for accessing, sharing and downloading larger files such as Vectorworks/Adobe projects and sketch up files.
