Privacy Protections
Apple privacy protections now require all applications to request access to various utilities like the Camera & Microphone. Some applications will provide instructions for how to do this, However, here is a guide that covers all the basics
Open Apple Menu >System Preferences>Security & Privacy
Security & Privacy is here
On the left select the service such as camera or microphone that you want to grant access to. Then in the right hand window select the Application & check the box. You may need to unlock the padlock first and authenticate with your devices password
